Our congratulations to Robert Treskillard for winning silver in the prestigious Independent Publishing 2014 Moonbeam Awards contest in the YA Fantasy/Sci-Fi category.

Published by Zondervan, a division of Harper Collins, in its YA Blink imprint for the general market, Merlin’s Blade is the first in a series of three Young Adult novels set during the King Arthur period as action fantasies – and is followed by Merlin’s Shadow and Merlin’s Nightmare. In these books the author proposes a different interpretation of the magician Merlin, creating a very human character who as a Christian is fighting the Druids.

Robert Treskillard not only wrote the books, he forged a 5th century sword that was photographed as a cover centerpiece.
