Every Saturday our small daily, the Tryon Daily Bulletin, features a local person on the cover, with a story inside. Saturday was my turn. I did the interview on Tuesday, corrected the article on Wednesday, and then flew to St. Louis, MO, on Thursday for the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) conference – 550 fiction writers in attendance there.
At the conference, I interviewed writers Friday and Saturday and sponsored dinner Friday evening for 10 clients. I had two male clients as finalists in the Genesis Contest – mysteries/suspense/thriller category – so I attended the Awards Gala, but neither won.
I flew home Sunday, but with a plane delayed because of battery problems, I got home too late for church, so Rita got the congratulations for the article.
If you want to read my life story in more detail, I’ve been writing frequent installments focusing on the theme of God Moments in My Publishing Life. You can read all those that I’ve posted already here.
Les – I love reading about God moments in your life! Thanks for coming to writing conferences and sharing your wisdom!
